About the author

During a search engine penalty of his first website the author started to interest himself in search engine optimization. Driven by the fact his website ranked much higher after the penalty, he has focused about 4 years on SEO and tested numerous SEO techniques on different websites. Doing this he discovered the essence of true search engine optimization is to work together with the search engines.

Now he works as a freelance SEO specialist for a famous online newspaper and an investment company. In 2008, he became an active member of the Dutch Google webmaster discussion group where Google asked him one year later to become an official contributor.

In his first e-book SEO Pocket Guide the author shares this experience by taking you along his SEO approach by optimizing a fictitious webpage.

Beside his passion for SEO, the author is a driven PHP developer but has a true love for JavaScript.
